How Pixelog works

Pixelog is a free journal for rating, comparing and ranking the video games you've played. Your library stays in this browser, and there's no account to create.

Rate every game in seven categories

Score each category from 0 to 10 in tenth-point steps, or mark a category N/A when it doesn't apply to a game. Pixelog combines the scores into a Verdict: your weighted score out of 10.

Make the weights yours

Scoring weights decide how much each category counts toward a Verdict. Keep the defaults or set your own, as long as they total 100%.

When you save new weights, every Verdict in your library updates.

Find your real Top 10 with a Showdown

Once you've rated ten games, Pixelog takes your ten highest Verdicts and shows them two at a time. You pick the winner of each pair.

After 45 picks, you have a personal ranking with an Elo score for every game. It's saved in your library, and the Top 10 on Home follows it.

Add games your way

Search IGDB to add a game with its cover and details, or add any game by hand. Sort games into your Score table or Want to play.

Already track games in a spreadsheet? Import them with the Pixelog CSV template.

Share a scorecard

Turn any rated game into a scorecard image to download, copy or share. You can also download your games, ratings and rankings as spreadsheets.

Private by design

Your games, ratings, notes and rankings are stored in this browser. Pixelog doesn't upload your library, and there's no account to create.

Yes. Pixelog is free to use, and you don't need an account.
Where is my data stored?
In this browser, on this device. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it, so download a backup now and then.
Can I use Pixelog on another device?
Yes. Download a backup, then restore it in the other browser. Pixelog doesn't sync between devices.
What is a Verdict?
Your weighted score out of 10 for a game, calculated from its seven category scores and your scoring weights.
How many games do I need for a Showdown?
Ten rated games. The Showdown compares your ten highest Verdicts head to head.
